Scholarships for Artists
There was a time that parents discourage their children from becoming artists. Now the art world is very wide and can be very lucrative. We can see that from fans that creates custom silicone wristbands using their idol’s name. ART identifies high school seniors and 17 and 18 artists in the disciplines of dance, film and video, jazz, music, photography, theater, visual arts, voice and writing for scholarships and financial aid. Through the arts, the FTAA awarded each year about $ 900,000 in prizes (with individual awards ranging from $ 10,000 – $ 100) and offers $ 3 million in scholarship opportunities for outstanding American high school artists of high school age through its Scholarship List Service (SLS).
