Technique of Study and Handle Your Stress Well

By admin · Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 · No Comments »

We all want to do well in our little test. Obviously, nobody wants to miss the exams. I think everyone has looked the best method to study and minimize the stress level. For your information, I’m not good enough in my exams in recent years and broke the school record. I got 100% accounting, 96% in History and received an average of over 75%. After that, I took a double degree program and graduated with a distinction average. For now, I will not promote me, but to test some of my study skills that could apply to you. Here are my techniques to score well on tests.

Techniques to study effectively:

1) Understand – How to understand this particular issue? This is the most important first step. If you really do not understand the contents, it is likely that you can not go further. I advise you to read in advance before attending any conference or class, so you have at least a few ideas in mind before starting the class. It would also be easier for you to “absorb” or “digest” the information while attending class. This technique prevents you from getting “lost” in the class, while reducing stress and nervousness. Please make sure you understand all the content is read by yourself or seek help from friends or tutors.

2) Remember – if you can not understand, but do you remember, then you will not be able to do well on her test. Moreover, you can always score well on tests if they can memorize all the facts and figures, even without understanding. However, this clearly is not efficient or effective to do so. This technique consumes much time and energy. There are few ways that can help you memorize the content:

a) No picture / graphic / map – just draw a simple image to illustrate the general content of the passage. You may find that the memory of an image is certainly easier than a long text. You need not draw like an artist, because the image is only used as personal consumption.

b) Create simple notes – Extract keywords or crossing points and write in your scrapbook. You are not appropriate to extend the sentence. In fact, just draw the keywords and main points are good enough. Then try to change or rearrange your notes so that all points can be connected together to form a return to its original content or actual results.

Dealing with your stress before exams

a) fully prepared – you should study your own notes instead of reading the entire manual, simply because they do not have much time to read it. You may just read your notes, as it covers all the important facts and figures. Your notes will definitely help you remember all the important points. So if you’re fully prepared, there is nothing to fear.

b) Purpose or goal – What is your goal? Base on the current situation, do you have the opportunity to do what you have directed? Of course, the higher the stress level goal. Then adjust your basis to guide their current situation. Please, no goal too, because it diminishes their confidence and performance level.

c) Get help – you may want to get the moral support of family members or friends because they could give some valuable tips for you to stay calm.

d) Call your classmates – you know you can release your stress through the phone? Sometimes they prefer to speak with our classmates of family members because of his classmates also have reviews and are in the same situation as you. Moreover, members of his family did not attend all examinations. Therefore, you may want to talk to his friend as they share the same situation. To relieve stress before bedtime, could give only a call to a classmate to discuss issues of exams come and express their feelings. I’m pretty sure that will share their feelings with you too. Thus, the telephone conversation will be very interesting or exciting. Of course, we recommend having a lengthy conversation on the phone, because you still need some time to review.

Are the methods above you know?

I sincerely hope that the above techniques can help overcome their problems.

Good luck with your studies!

ABSTRACT

One of the most important factors to consider when planning any exercise program is easy. Despite its importance does not pay much attention to our community. Neglect couple with many other factors have greatly contributed to the inadequacy or lack of provision and development of sports facilities, in both our rural and urban communities. Other factors like the economic situation in Nigeria, religion, land tenure, political, geographical location and climate, socio-cultural awareness of the health of individuals and the influence of pressure groups were discussed, and facilities, made suggestions for the development of sports facilities and attention to the handling of suggestions were given.

Keywords: sports equipment and troubleshooting.

Introduction

The basic consideration in the development of all sports is the availability of adequate facilities (indoor and outdoor) for use when needed. Ideally, there should be a provision of sufficient resources, both inside and outside of our two communities and schools, obviously this is not the case with Nigeria. The question now arises, how can we provide sports facilities in our communities?

To begin, we must not forget that our academic institutions, volunteer organizations, clubs, industries, businesses and companies are operating in the community. For example, our schools are accountable to the government and also the goal of achieving the objectives of the company hoping to meet and satisfy the community needs and interests. Sports have a culture that relates to corporate culture, so it is an integration of culture.

During the development of sports programs for a particular population, the community must be the real goal of decision making. Planning for such a program must reflect the needs and interests of the community in line with the prospect of having facilities for the program. Development of sports facilities can be carried out after an overview of sports policy and programs has been done. It is therefore valuable to examine first the issues raised by the development of sports facilities in urban and rural communities in Nigeria

Problem Areas

Economic situation

The economic situation in Nigeria has contributed greatly to the problems of each individual and the community at present. The main task now is how to get enough money for bridging the gap between the quantity and quality of sports facilities and financial assistance needed. The economy of a community has a great impact on the quantity and quality of sports facilities that can provide and expand. An economically weak community may have difficulty in providing and maintaining facilities and sports teams. In an economically viable community, sporting facilities to enjoy strong economic support for the community is aware of sport.

Religion

Religion can have a sporting interest in the community, which ultimately reflect on the provision and development of sports facilities in the community such. Some religious groups welcomed the activities such as ballroom dancing and swimming. This is frowned upon, because dress use your participation in the exhibition of pieces too sacred especially women. Given that the facility must be supported with facilities in the development of facilities in this community with the bulk of the population is not interested is a waste.

Land Tenure System

The system of land tenure in Nigeria, especially in the south also creates many problems, not only for agricultural production but also in the development of sports facilities. The impact is felt in urban communities where there are no adequate and effective planning of the city. For the owners to sell their land with little regard for reading or recreation areas. All they want is money and there is little attention to the welfare of consumers. The worst thing that happens in the spaces available are used to construct the residence or shops of members of the family (clan) which belongs to him.

Politics

The policy has a role to play in the development of sport in general. This is particularly true in civil government. The interest and the priority of a political party in May to determine the progress of the program and sports facilities for them. The politicians who are deeply interested in sports will no doubt be interested in the development of sports facilities. However, a community program for the political development of sports facilities may be experiencing a turning point in the political situation if the other side of the energy is not interested in this program.

Review geographical and climatic

The geography and climate of a community may be factors influencing the development of sports facilities. An area characterized by numerous rivers (reverine area) and plenty of water is expected to develop sports facilities for water sports because of its natural wealth.

In Nigeria, for example due to climatic and topographic conditions of Mambilla in Taraba State, the federal government has established a Games Village for the training of athletes in endurance sports for international competitions. The natural endowments of an environment would be to identify activities of interest to local residents. Therefore, it is preferable to identify activities and interests of a community in relation to its climate and topography. This even will allow the community to keep funds available to develop sports facilities and a growing interest in proportion to the demographics of the place (ie the composition of the population of the community). In doing so, social class (status), races, nationalities, origins of the wealth of education, age and sex of residents should consider before planning sports facilities. It can be very difficult to develop sports facilities in the low socio-economic development especially in the downtown because of the potential financial constraints and other factors such as availability of land, maintenance and sustaining these facilities continuity. For example, places like Bodija Estate in Ibadan, Oyo State and FESTAC in Lagos State are planned taking into consideration enough to play and leisure areas, but unlike the case when comparing Gege and places like Ajegunle in Oyo and Lagos respectively.

Attitude:

Attitude of people to sport programs is a factor that may influence the development of sports infrastructure. May a community interest in the sports program, but do not or can not spend much on it if the sport is not their priority. In an area with low socio-economic development, many people may not be able or willing to contribute financially to the development of sports facilities,

Health Awareness:

The level of awareness about the health of individuals in a community can determine the acceptance of the harbors and the program will develop sports facilities. In America, many people now have physical fitness programs to keep fit and healthy. A community that values the health of people would not mind the cost of development of sports facilities. If a community is not aware of the relationship between physical health and sound, it will focus on developing sports infrastructure.

Pressure group:

The influence of pressure groups in a community can be used to develop sports facilities, because the forces are considered in society.

All the factors mentioned above may help in March or any attempt to develop sports facilities throughout the community if not adequately taken into account.

The way forward

How can we develop sports facilities in our community?

The sports facilities can be developed by various organizations in the community provided the goals and objectives are well understood.

An individual in a community can embark on the development of sports facilities. Philanthropist, especially amateur sport can make a decision to reflect their love of sport. Notable examples are the late Chief Ogundoyin Adedoyin who built a stadium and has organized and sponsored by a football club in his hometown of Chief Raheem Adejumo, Chairman of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has also contributed to the development of sports facilities and Chief MKO Abiola, who was a good example. Chief MKO Abiola enthusiasm and love for the sport with their contributions to sports earned him the title of the backbone of sport in Africa. “People like, if well publicized can build or help build a facility.

In a situation where the development of sports facilities is too expensive to offer by one person, a joint effort may be requested. In this case, many sports fans who have the means (capital) and are willing to sponsor a part or all of programs can meet to develop sports facilities. Similarly, people or philanthropists and the community in May decided to get up and join their efforts to develop sports facilities. Leisure Clubs are a good example. However, it should be well coordinated by government.

Each individual in the community still expects the government to do everything for them, especially things that are intended for public consumption. Unfortunately, the government can not do everything, but in a situation where you can set a good example for their citizens to follow, in motion, for example, be in the right direction. The most important thing is that the government play its role and encourage individuals in the aid community. Our government must enforce and maintain good urban planning in our cities, including rural areas and asked to be an example to provide a model for sports facilities, at least for each community.

A situation in which the government offers sports facilities (eg sports stadiums and shopping centers), there is need for proper maintenance and livelihood. The cost of maintenance in May forced the Government to these facilities and documentary style if not careful in May the bill to be too much for the general public to give the public finally become discouraged and May of such facilities may not are maximized. Local authorities could help build parks and recreation centers, however, when taxes on employment would be taken, should be minimal.

As part of the promotion of sports, clubs and societies in different categories could be useful in the development of sports facilities. A club may decide to build your own sports center (s) that their contribution to sports development. What is happening in Nigeria, with the recognition given to professionalism in sports. The only problem with this type of contribution is that these facilities can not be opened for public use but is restricted to members only.

Similarly there are other institutions such as businesses, industries, businesses and companies that can contribute greatly to the development of sports facilities. The health of employees should be the concern of any company that wants production workers most. Many commercial and governmental institutions are aware of the importance of fitness and health programs for their employees.

However, there are guidelines for the use of sports facilities offered by these institutions. Guidelines as the operating hours of specific facilities, a set of written procedures and operational and training objectives for participants and which may reduce the accessibility of these facilities to the public. In Nigeria, we have many business and enterprise creation and funding of sports clubs that are making their mark in national and international competitions. Tax relief may be granted to those businesses and industries in the amount spent on sports facilities.

Besides the creation of sport clubs, these institutions are also involved in promoting recreational programs. Many of them have club staff or staff recreation centers. Although its sports facilities are not open to the public, the fact remains that contribute to the development of sports facilities in their communities. Everything must be done is that the government establish a working alliance between them and their communities.

Joint industry and government sponsored sports programs are in no small way help in the development of sports facilities in our communities. A joint program, as this will be more sustainable and less be a burden to the community to maintain. This type of risk may be in the form of parks or recreation centers. The local government can easily find a sponsor (s) to develop sports facilities.

There may be a common agenda (s) between the community and government to develop sports facilities. Many can be taken from life meilleure”pour rural women “where the community plans to demonstrate its interest in the property or participate in a project before the local or national or state could come and help. If an effort of the community, a special mechanism has been established but incomplete, the community can call for help as the government or even private individuals.

A community can not even eat an appeal for funds for development of sports facilities. In such a situation, objectives and specific plan for the type of sports facilities in the community is to develop must be clearly defined. This involves many individuals, companies, firms, associations, government and various national and international sponsors.

As mentioned above, the services available in our communities are limited and few and even most of them are not open to the general public, but for certain groups of people because they are private property. Therefore, schools and community sports facilities should be developed and used to supplement and complement one another to meet the needs of students and the community. This requires that the government should take more than passive interest in the development of sports facilities in schools. It should also be an opportunity for reciprocity between schools and the community to use the facilities. This will promote the cooperation and support between school and the community where it exists.

Students and staff at our institutions of higher education should be encouraged to participate in sports, either as a program of intramural or extramural. There have been cases in which a single sponsor alumnus of major projects in schools. If you are encouraged alumni from different schools, can help in this regard.

If schools show enough commitment, which will provide knowledge of the various members of the community to know that sports are not for the equipment of the academic institution or club alone, but all members of the community. This kind of awareness May boost the development of the community in such sports facilities in the community and academic institutions, either through individual efforts or community effort or both.

A community can go beyond the immediate local support. Assistance may be sought from the national and international organizations to sponsor or co-sponsorship to develop sports facilities.

The sports facilities in our communities can be developed, maintained and extended by all the bodies mentioned in these communities. Local materials can be adapted or used to improvise some sports equipment to reduce costs. So the climate of urban or rural status of the adjustment should be approved.

The government must engage in marketing and advertising to promote greater public awareness of the importance of participation in sport and the opportunities it can bring to a community. This can be done by the media, posters, seminars and clinics for youth and senior officials from various works of life and the general public, local, state and federal.

Athletic competition of the Community based in and outside the localities are frequently held to reflect the usefulness of these facilities between different ages, gender, institutions and clubs to be sponsored by various organizations. This responsibility must be intra-and extra-local.

There should be the organization of a community based sports programs to our diverse communities. Programs of community organizing services must be used in practice by the government for development of sports facilities. For example, the Boy Scouts, a service club, charitable, religious and social associations are voluntary association which can be appealed and encouraged to contribute to the development of sports facilities. However, if the associations of religion is associated with a need to distinguish between the interests of religion and sports interests.

All these suggestions work if the take the following precautions:

The climate and geography of the community should be duly considered during the development of sports facilities. May this help to develop the natural plant community.

There must be an adequate supply of specialists such as coaches, trainers and technical staff to make best use of facilities and equipment available so that people would notice and appreciate the benefits to be gained from and the importance of community . Community members who wish can be trained as instructors or managers of recreation to help manage and train members of the community.

It should focus on the formation and maintenance of the culture of maintenance. The facilities must be regularly serviced and maintained by all concerned agencies.

Due to the prevalence of social vices in our society PF, appropriate measures should be taken to supervision, safety and security of facilities and easy to remove the equipment.

The local talent should be tapped and recognized in the middle and are used for individual and social progress.

Scholarships for Artists

By admin · Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 · No Comments »

There was a time that parents discourage their children from becoming artists. Now the art world is very wide and can be very lucrative. And if you need another reason to convince your parents you want to go to art school, there are many schools that offer scholarships and funding. Art awards ranging from drawing to painting to photography to design and even include art of the variety of cuisine, music and literature. Many art scholarships are specific to a particular State, county, or even college, in addition to the major art or artistic interest or skill requirements. For starters, here are some resources: • the university: most of the articles offer scholarships to students attending schools of rays, either directly by the school or through corporations, foundations and benefactors who support the school. Many schools also offer potential students. If you attend or plan to attend a university, contact your Program Advisor to ask what scholarships are available May through school or department (if they attend and, without doubt, consult with their instructors of art, too!) . Remember to search for scholarship opportunities at the site of the university department or a banner near the office of the art department at school, but are also available. Here are some listings of grants from the Ministry typical: Baum School of Art, Birmingham Southern College Cranbrook Academy of Art Hendrix College Goshen College St. Lawrence University UniversityMost not offer scholarships to students attending their schools. Because really, really want to keep there. Such awards are the easiest to learn, but somehow overlooked by many students who could benefit from this funding. . . and prestige of winning! Just to reinforce this idea of funding your university or college, reports the ministry of education in public universities, scholarships and fellowships expenses have increased steadily from 1980 to 1995. This may be an indication that there are possibilities that lie ahead. Again, at least, you should ask your counselor about other sources if one is not available at your college for your circumstances. • L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future contest. Foreign students studying at accredited colleges and universities and the U.S. in May for implementation. • More charitable foundations – The competition for funds from charitable foundations is quite steep, even those that are local. Because they are a very good job for the invitation to the candidates, and the prices are often more important than smaller groups. However, there are hundreds of these organizations give millions of dollars each year. If you know locally, you should know. Or you can take a look at these, too: • National Foundation Andy Warhol Foundation, Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts, Jackie Robinson Foundation can be seen that there is much work to be done only to find these opportunities. . . but this is nothing compared to the work you need to install the win.
